When Pain
Meets Courage
A Virtual *Write Your Way Through It* Workshop
Hosted by Shandice Stallworth
It takes courage to get on your hands and knees and dig for the unseen, for you cannot uproot what you are unaware of.
Together, we'll practice the art of:
resting in God’s presence,
facing and releasing the inner narratives our pain has produced,
re-establishing the truth,
declaring and embracing our true identity with courage.
With the Holy Spirit as our guide and a series of prompts, we will write our way through the process of refining our inner voices, facing and addressing our fears and hidden pain while intentionally acknowledging the areas of our lives that are blossoming.
So join me virtually for a soul-renewing community experience that celebrates collective healing, the sharing of stories, and the inner transformation that takes place when we commit to the courageous inner work.
DATE: MAY 25, 2024
TIME: 10 AM - 1 PM
EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME (US)
SPACE: ZOOM
This workshop is open internationally.
When pain and courage meet, they have a conversation.
Sometimes, the thing we thought we were healed from will pop out to greet us on a random Saturday afternoon, and instead of running from it, you’ll have the opportunity to face it and invite it in for a chat and a cup of tea. You’ll have to give it space to breathe, to be seen, and to be heard because the truth is, it’s hard to find purpose in your pain if you have yet to face your pain beyond its feeling. And the beauty of this moment is in knowing God’s word is never too far away to speak truth to the pain we once ran from.
The Flow of the Workshop
Creating a courageous and sacred space where purposeful women are free to unwind, hear God's voice, and uncover who they truly are is the priority. You will be entering an intimate and intentional environment, so come with an open heart.
There will be dedicated moments of pause and reflection for emotional, mental, and spiritual renewal. Along with opportunities to share your words, connect with like-minded women, release some of the weight you are carrying, and continue along your journey lighter, having given your deepest feelings and thoughts permission to be felt, faced, and heard.

What Purposeful Women Are Saying About Write Your Way Through It…
“I have been able to experience such deep levels of healing, freedom, and joy that I am only beginning to understand.”
Thank you so much, Shandice, for hosting this workshop and for creating a space to connect with women from around the world, hear the voice of God, and be encouraged! Thank you for showing me the importance of unpacking my pain from the past, and for creating a space to process and step into my God-given purpose. I am forever grateful!
- Jasmine
“Her way of sharing her gift of writing allowed me to begin to write from an authentic place. The words were healing wounds that once left me speechless.”
The affirmation she encouraged us to write is still the affirmation that charges me up daily. “I will stay in position” has been my testimony ever since I landed back home.
- Sazjanee
“Shandice had us go back to get the little girl that went through so much pain and hurt and carry her to where we are now, and wow, that was my breakthrough.”
I am still in awe of how God moved and used this beautiful woman of God to speak to me at the right time of where I am on this Christian walk.
- Danielle
“Thank you for helping us see ourselves and others the way God sees us.”
With all the chaos going on around us, today I witnessed God move in 14 other women and myself as we wrote to our inner pain and broke generational curses. Thank you, Dear Purposeful Woman for allowing this kind of community to exist.
- Shavonti
“The Write Your Way Through It workshop was LIBERATING for me. I feel lighter. I feel free.”
It was a deliverance session. I had been carrying some heavyweights that had me mentally overwhelmed, and they were chipped off. I feel lighter. I feel free. I left with an action plan of what to do next and have already started working on it. The workshop has taught me how to decipher where I'm at, understand what the Lord is trying to get across to me, and just be in tune with the Father more. I have so much to say that I cannot put in words.
- Yami
“Pure authenticity, healing, and empowerment with 13 beautiful women.”
After the workshop, I was reflecting, and God revealed that He healed me from self-rejection. I didn’t realize that this was an issue. But God showed me it was more than the harsh self-criticism that I struggled with. I feel so much more powerful, confident, and ready to be all God called me to be.

I just love seeing women liberated.
I created Write Your Way Through It to remind purposeful women that facing our pain is revolutionary, transformative, and liberating. Like you, I am showing up each day to heal, learn, and grow with love and courage.
As a purpose-driven writer and author, I have witnessed writing serve as a healing tool that reveals our inner thoughts and feelings and awakens us to the women God created us to be.
I’ve always been a gentle soul who has come to realize just how much of a superpower our softness is, and as hard as life might get sometimes, I will not allow it to harden me. So know that you will be entering a sacred environment with a soft place to land as you surrender to the process of digging beneath the surface of yourself.
I’m a born and raised Londoner who has made Atlanta, Georgia, my home. I have a diverse background in TV production and marketing and a master’s degree in social science, which informs much of my work with women. I’m a lover of tea and poetic words who simply desires to become all God has created me to be and use my gifts to inspire others and glorify Him.
